Glimpse

I have often seen things while walking or traveling or pictures that others have shared with me when looked at with the natural eye have an obvious meaning which I refer to as a "a glimpse of our nature" or the old nature or common way we observe. When I later think about it or relate it to a Bibilical view of life I see it another way which I refer to as the "meaning of this glimpse of our (new) nature. So I would often mention to my sons or daughters the questions or observation and see what they thought and later review the "first thought that came to my mind". Many of you know me as a person with "flight of thoughts" so I think in some ways this has been a gift to see all things in light of the broader meaning at times. I have found that life doesn't ever get boring when you realize that Our Creator God uses even the smallest things we experience daily to further our understanding of his mercy and perfect plan for our lives. The Bible says "we see in part" or dimly in this life. Someday we will see clearly.

I have included pictures and illustrations to bring another view to the "glimpse".

I have often read scriptures in Spanish and love the poetic sound of the words and the deep meanings so I included this to reflect my heart for those who speak this language. God Bless as you read and view the photos or illustrations and pass these to the next generation.

#14 "Christ has promised this" Living again in faith.

I saw an old gravestone near a large tree. The roots of the tree were large and repositioned the stones. The gravestones were of a family that lived long ago. I read the inscription that was weathered by the 147 years that had come and gone.

Glimpse- I read the inscription carved years ago about a life that was short but was full of faith. I was trying to imagine the parents who had to bury their children. How they were people with a faith that was sure and in which my faith would pale in comparison. I thought of our inheritance in Heaven and how someday we will see all things in a new light.  I thought that since there were a number of family laid to rest here, five children and the parents, that each time they would have left a piece of their heart at this site, yet went forward in faith in the Lamb of God.
I took my daughter to see the gravestone one day and we read it together hoping to relay this faith of the past to today in our lives and in the Kingdom to come. One Day we will see His glorious might revealed again and again in new ways without ever growing tired.

John 14:1-3
1 "Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. 1 No se turbe vuestro corazón; creed en Dios, creed también en mí.
2 In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.(ESV) 3 Y si me voy y preparo un lugar para vosotros, vendré otra vez y os tomaré conmigo; para que donde yo estoy, allí estéis también vosotros.(LBLA)

Colossians 1:11-14
11 May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy, 11 fortalecidos con todo poder según la potencia de su gloria, para obtener toda perseverancia y paciencia, con gozo
12 giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.
13 He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, 13 Porque El nos libró del dominio de las tinieblas y nos trasladó al reino de su Hijo amado,
14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. (LBLA)

Why should we mourn our Daughter's loss,
Since death to her is bliss.
She lives again in faith she died,
And Christ has promis'd this.
